Position Description

The RAND Corporation is seeking a senior level, principal development officer to lead the fundraising efforts for the Pardee RAND Graduate School.  The Pardee RAND Graduate School is the largest and oldest public policy Ph.D. program in the country.  Already leading the way for other programs with its distinctive combination of coursework focused on analytic tools and methodologies, policy-relevant dissertations, and the unique requirement for all students to devote significant time to RAND research projects, the school is embarking on an initiative to build a PhD program that will be transformational for our students, RAND, and the field of public policy and policy analysis. 

Reporting to the RAND’s Executive Director of Development, this individual will also function as the primary advisor to the Dean of Pardee RAND to translate the school’s strategic priorities to a major fundraising campaign.  This person will cultivate and solicit major gifts and lead a development team to meet the school’s ambitious goals.  Some of the duties include:


Education Requirements

BA/BS; Master's degree preferred


Minimum 9 years of experience with 3 years of supervisory experience
