This position is in support of a group desk providing administrative support to various senior level researchers. The successful candidate is required to have complete proficiency speaking, reading and writing formal business Spanish, advanced experience with Endnote and with preparing journal articles; ability to proof documents in English and Spanish (ensuring equivalence among multiple versions of questionnaires, consent documents, etc.), solid experience in community collaboration and coordination with multiple community partners in arranging offsite meetings and events. Some experience supporting research proposals, reports or papers that include high volume text, figures, tables and references. Experience in a university setting or non-profit organization which writes grant proposals strongly preferred.
Seeking a self-starter who exhibits good judgment and has the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal direction. The position requires demonstrated exceptional organizational, and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential; it is also important that the individual be a team player and is able to demonstrate tact, courtesy and judgment in working with all levels of individuals within and outside of RAND.
Candidates must possess a high level of proficiency in all MS Office products. This position requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to work independently and balance competing demands in fast-paced work environment. Knowledge of proposal and document work is needed. Major responsibilities require advanced skills in calendar management (Outlook), travel arranging and expense reimbursements, and meeting and video teleconference scheduling. Experience with formatting research papers and knowledge of Endnote are strongly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience. Preferred 6+ years.
