Position Description

This Information Security Engineer position requires solid programming skills and software development experience.  The Information Security Engineer programmer writes and maintains IT security solutions for RAND.  In this intermediate-level position, you will utilize Python, PowerShell, BASH and other scripting languages to facilitate the automation of security functions within enterprise information system operations.  The ideal candidate will have experience working on an Information Security team as well as strong development/scripting skills.

The Information Security Engineer is part of the Architecture and Engineering team in the RAND Information Security group and is responsible for producing solutions to enable the automation and streamlining of the processes that protect the enterprise IT infrastructure

The Initial project pipeline for this position will require the candidate to have demonstrated proficiency with both the Python and PowerShell programming languages as well as experience developing on/for Windows, Linux, and Macintosh platforms.

Security Clearance

U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a secret security clearance.  Preference will be given to individuals already holding a clearance.  A transferable secret clearance is most desired.
